The IRIS Allergy Lab Is Well Equipped With All The Necessary Investigation Modalities Like:

Allergy Skin Testing

Skin Testing is an easy, safe, yet very useful test to identify the specific allergen which is causing your allergies. During a skin test, your allergy specialist will introduce a small amount of allergen into your skin and observe for reactions. Common allergens tested are pollen, molds, food, drugs and pet dander.

Allergy Patch Test

Patch test is done to identify whether something coming into contact with your skin causes an allergic reaction (contact dermatitis). Patch test is done for metals, cosmetics, soaps, topical medication, rubber, perfumes, etc. Patch test is applied for 2 days before reassessment and identifies delayed hypersensitivity.

Allergy blood tests check for antibodies called Immunoglobulin E (IgE) in blood. Antibodies are proteins produced in our body and are part of our immune system. In case of allergies, body produces IgE against allergens/ otherwise innocuous substances.
